For these shoots I took inspiration from the work of Edward Steichen. Steichen worked in a time of black and white photography and dressed his models in smart, classical attire. I elaborated on Steichen's cornered background by infusing a futuristic colourful twist.​ The use of spots relates to the piece ‘Abalone Acetone Powder’ - by British artist Damien Hurst

 

An angled background allowed me to capture multi-depth shadows adding intensity and contrast to the plain background.

Furthermore the use of projection allowed me to create colourful patterns based on the work of Hassan Hajjaj.
